my little canibal

so when quinn says "cheeken" he is reffering to chicken. but not A chicken, but a chicken nugget or chicken tender that he eats. (what goes through their little minds when they learn that a chicken is an animal? do they make the connection, that hey, that thing is called a chicken, and i eat chicken, and, wait! hold on here! you mean i eat that thing?????) just something to think about. i mean we don't say, hey let's have some cow for dinner tonight.

anyway, the chicken reference is for the following story. we (meaning me and quinn is playing) were watching tv the other night. he was reading his books (okay, just looking at the pictures, but WAS saying the correct names for the objects) and playing. every once in a while he would look at the TV. i was watching a program on TLC, "Conception to Birth" (for NO reason other thant i find it soooo interesting and amazing). they were showing a human fetus at an early stage, i can't remember exactly how old, but no more than 8 weeks. he looked at it for a moment and said "chicken!". i giggled. no, i laughed. hard. i said "do you think that looks like chicken?" he replies "YEAH! some?" (meaning that he wants some to eat). he says the funniest things.
