well, no, it's not tomorrow tim
first off, i totally forgot to put in the awesome pics of the pigs! apperantly, the large one gets so big in the fall from eating the dropping acorns, that his belly drags on the ground and gets scraped, so they have to cut him off!
i can't get over is hair though! more like Don King, or more like Andy Rooney's eyebrows??
we stopped by Jack Creek Farms and bought some pumkins and a super yummy apple cider/pomegranate slush.
we headed to downtown paso to find some lunch. we parked and started to walk around and noticed that there were alot, i mean ALOT, perhaps ALL of paso robles' population at the park. then we noticed the lines of people and they were carrying pots and pans and containers. we asked a local couple (who were enjoying their lunch) what was going on. "It's Pioneer Day", there are free beans for everyone. They are pretty good, get in line and have some." So....if you know my husband, we couldn't get in line fast enough. ;) We got our beans (more like chili if you ask me) and sat in the grass enjoying our lunch. Then, they ran out. There was a rumble throughout the lines of pot-holding bean-goers. "Tim!" I say, punching him in the arm, "they ran out! We took beans away from the locals on their Pioneer Day!"
After that tramatic experience, we were in need of some wine. We head out to the East Side, off of the 46. We visited a few wineries, bought more than we intended. Our favorite by far is Mitchella.Could these people BE any cooler? I think not. We really enjoyed the wine, bought a Syrah and viognier. We were heading out and they invited us down to check out the grape crushing, as they were just getting started. what?!?!? yeah we wanna check that out!!! they had this way cute little jack russell, i think here name was hanna maybe. she just cruised around the tasting room and the vineyard.

Morro Bay and Paso Robles, anniversary weekend
here is the list...
So over the weekend we went golfing in Morro Bay. it was SUPER windy and F'in cold, but gorgeous views of the course and the bay surrounded us. We had THE best clam chowder EVER at the Harbor Hut. I know it looks WAY cheesey, but we sat in the bar and had a good bottle of wine, some appetizers (they were 'eh') and then had the clam chowder and bread. yum yum yummy.
The next day we headed to Paso Robles. I love this place, what a great laid back town! we headed to a little B&B to get checked in. What great people! SOOOOO cute....Willow Creek Farms, est. 1888, population 8. The dont have a website as of yet, but you can read about them here and here. If you ever have the chance to do so, stay there! We were in the cowboy bunk house:
It is decorated so very cute! With a cowboy/country/americana them, there are 4 queen beds and 2 full baths (showers, not tubs).
The property is gorgeous, huge oak trees, pigs, goats, chickens.
I will finish up tomorrow, we hit a few fab wineries!

also, i recently accepted the challenge to participate in the Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network’s (FAAN’s) Walk for Food Allergy: Moving Toward A Cure. The event will raise funds to find a cure for food allergy and to educate others. FAAN’s mission is to raise public awareness, to provide advocacy and education, and to advance research on behalf of all those affected by food allergies and anaphylaxis.
if you can donate in anyway, it is much appreciated. take a peek at quinn's page!

a 'berry' good day
i haven't written about this yet, i was going to try to create a LO for it, but that hasn't happened yet, but it will. :)
we had quinn tested again for his food allergies. last time he was eight months old and it was a blood test. our allergist recommended that we have a skin test this time. he said it is more accurate. so we did. previously the blood test results were that quinn was allergic to dairy, eggs, peanuts & strawberries.
not the best photos, i know, but you can see his joy nonetheless.
yup, my kid finally got to experience strawberries. loves 'em. could this BE any cooler?!?!?!? his peanut allergy is non-existent too. off to make a PBJ sandwich for him, strawberry jelly of course.
